About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation
    • Prepare the Operating Room with necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments for each procedure.
    • Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure a seamless transition between cases.
  • Perioperative Care
    • Assist the surgical team during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments with precision.
    • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the anesthesia provider or surgeon.
  • Post-Operative Care
    • Assist with patient recovery, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
    • Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Either prior OR experience or graduation from an approved surgical technician program.
  • Certifications
    • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
