Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Inpatient Surgery team at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing the Operating Room for surgery, working with renowned surgeons, and assisting with complex procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the Operating Room for surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of surgeons and patients during surgery, demonstrating exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict infection control protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum - Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Preferred - One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technologist program.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification within six months of hire.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
