Job Title: Scale Technician

RMH Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Scale Technician to join our team in Eastern Iowa. As a Scale Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and installing industrial scales in manufacturing settings, floor scales, and truck scales at our customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and preventative maintenance on industrial scales.
  • Drive the Test truck (CDL required) as needed, and handle large-scale projects that require weights that can only be transported by the test truck.
  • Work as part of a cohesive team within the shop to meet customer needs.
  • Perform emergency repair to malfunctioning equipment at customer site.
  • Involved in equipment installations, as needed.
  • Complete annual inspection programs for customers.
  • Maintain communication with the customer and answer questions relative to the work being performed.
  • Work with inside sales to order replacement parts, as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of existing products and pursue additional technical and product knowledge by actively participating in the training programs.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of Mechanical experience required. Electrical experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment following technical manuals and diagnostic procedures.
  • Must attain State Scale Technician License within first 6 months.
  • Valid Driver's/Chauffeurs License required, and be eligible to drive per respective state law based on office location.
  • CDL required, or must obtain within first 6 months of employment.
  • Safety safety-oriented attitude required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate diagnostic software.
