Desktop Support / PC Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support / PC Technician to join our team at VDart Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and maintenance for our clients' computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receive and inspect incoming equipment, performing quality checks to ensure it meets our standards.
  2. Install and configure applications on workstations, including setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems.
  3. Perform daily ITSM ticketing and asset management tasks, navigating and utilizing our preferred applications.
  4. Communicate and train client employees on new computer systems and their functions.
  5. Backup and archive data for computers scheduled for deinstallation, removing all software, data, and custom applications.
  6. Track and manage computer device refreshes and replacements, identifying damaged equipment for replacement.
  7. Collaborate with IT leadership on large-scale technology migration projects.
  8. Install and upgrade workstations for client employees, providing remote or onsite education on basic usage, security procedures, and self-troubleshooting.
  9. Monitor and track deployment, replacement, and upgrade information across multiple departments and facilities.
  10. Reimage and stock returned devices.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in IT equipment, including printers, PCs, iOS devices, and common Microsoft software programs such as Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Additionally, you should have experience working with a trouble ticketing system, such as SNOW, Microsoft Support Center, Service Manager, or Remedy.
