At Collins Aerospace, we are seeking a Senior Procurement Strategist to lead initiatives in New Product Development, focusing on procurement processes, standards, and operational strategies.

This role involves collaboration with procurement teams to manage the acquisition of goods, materials, and services essential for Cargo Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to oversee the acquisition of goods, materials, and services.
  • Adhere to Collins Aerospace's best practices for New Product Development processes.
  • Prepare purchase orders and manage payment approvals to facilitate a seamless procurement process.
  • Compile financial reports, price proposals, and other relevant data for thorough analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid documentation.
  • Maintain records of purchases, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory levels; analyze data to meet account requirements.
  • Implement processes and standards to support procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, and program execution.
  • Address client inquiries regarding order status, modifications, or cancellations to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify and refine initiatives aimed at cost reduction.
  • Act as a liaison for engineering technology, material optimization, new product cost analysis, design readiness, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolving issues such as shortages or delays.
  • Manage all schedules and purchase orders for the designated client account or product family.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products that meet quality standards and cost expectations.
  • Support travel as necessary.
  • May undertake delivery assurance responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications:


Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.

U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with New Product Development.
  • Technical knowledge in engineering.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector.
