Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Embody the company’s values, vision, and mission
  • Adhere to quality assurance policies
  • Comply with safety regulations
  • Procure both durable and non-durable goods for production and operational needs
  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bids, and review requisitions for goods and services
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors
  • Ensure the procurement of high-quality merchandise at competitive prices and in appropriate quantities
  • Oversee inventory management, including monitoring bar stock and PPE equipment
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to enhance procurement processes and achieve cost-saving objectives
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate terms that align with company goals
  • Maintain supplier relationships through regular performance evaluations and issue resolution
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to uncover opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Assist with annual audits and vendor coordination
  • Support on-site technical issues and act as a backup for receiving shipments

Education & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer in a manufacturing context
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing advantageous terms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of supply chain logistics
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

Office and manufacturing floor settings with controlled temperature environments.

Expected Work Hours
This is a full-time hourly position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional overtime as necessary.

Travel Requirements
Up to 10% travel may be required.
