Supervision: Reports to the DSS Manager and collaborates with the Director of Membership
Core Responsibilities: The role entails recruiting, identifying, and enrolling current and prospective DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) participants in eligible BE GREAT Academy programs. This includes managing connection cards, processing necessary documentation, and overseeing participation timelines. Additionally, the position is responsible for promoting eligible BE GREAT Academy programs to DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) participants.
Key Duties Include:
- Recruiting and enrolling DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) recipients into qualifying BE GREAT Academy locations.
- Overseeing connection cards, relevant documentation, participation timelines, and SVL submissions for all DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) participants.
- Identifying potential DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) participants and providing guidance to facilitate their enrollment in the program.
- Marketing and promoting BE GREAT Academy to current and prospective DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) recipients.
- Maintaining accurate records and managing DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) participants within the Membership Tracking System (MTS).
- Acting as a liaison to DSS to enhance awareness and understanding of the benefits and availability of BE GREAT Academy programs.
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Education:
- Familiarity with the DSS SC Scholarship (ABC) voucher program and the Department of Social Services.
- A high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service and account management; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Comprehension of the organization's philosophy, vision, and objectives.
- Ability to interact diplomatically with the public.
- Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, typing, and computer skills.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English, along with arithmetic skills for daily tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with management, colleagues, and clients.
- Capability to analyze and resolve issues in a dynamic and high-pressure work environment.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of member retention strategies.
- Experience working with parents to prevent disenrollment.
