Job Summary:

FNA Group, a world-class manufacturer of consumer and industrial pressure washers and outdoor power equipment, is seeking a highly skilled Lab Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of test strategies, ensuring the quality and safety of our products, and driving innovation in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Lead a team of local technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to question the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain organizational processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in test lab operations.
• Work closely with the Business Group team to develop a global product development roadmap, targeting customer needs and driving business growth.

Requirements:

• 10 years of Engineering experience, with 4 years of management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of R&D test engineering hardware and software, with experience in product testing in laboratory and mass product development or manufacturing environments.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive results and motivate team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply scientific root cause problem-solving techniques and hands-on debugging skills to product testing.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of standard electronics lab tools, including NI DAQ, LabView, AC/DC meters, Oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies, Load Banks, fuel systems, and safety systems.
• Proven ability to apply scientific root cause problem-solving techniques and hands-on debugging skills to product testing.
• Familiarity with testing battery-based products and electrical/electronic systems.

Education/Certification:

AAS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Valid driver's license.
