Underwriting Specialist, General Liability

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ascot Group, a leading specialty risk underwriting organization, as an Underwriting Specialist, General Liability. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in assessing and managing risk for our Portfolio Solutions division.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the filings and Ratings update to ensure policies are correctly loaded in Ascot Systems.
- Manage General Liability referrals from Captive / Alternative risk and MGA delegated Underwriting referrals from various internal risk staff.
- Expand our portfolio of business by enhancing General Liability and Automobile Coverage capabilities based on new market developments.
- Provide superior production and service to brokers and clients by liaising directly with individual Captive consultants and Program Managers.
- Stay current on competition, underwriting environment, and market conditions to ensure our coverage forms, rating plans, and overall offerings remain in line with the market and current regulations.
- A minimum of 7 years relevant casualty underwriting experience.
- Prior experience with Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Commercial Auto.
- Advanced knowledge of underwriting rating concepts, practices, forms, and procedures.
- In-depth technical knowledge of General Liability and Automobile insurance coverage and pricing across various classes.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent Communication skills, in liaising with various internal and external partners.
Ascot Group provides a competitive benefits package, including health and welfare benefits, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. The annualized base pay range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000.
