Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Hospital for Special Care. The successful candidate will provide standardized diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based treatment for associated behavioral and emotional difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Administer standardized intellectual assessments and rating scales as needed
  • Score and interpret psychological assessment measures
  • Write high-quality evaluation reports and provide feedback to parents and caregivers
  • Engage in care coordination and treatment planning on behalf of evaluated clients and their families
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to patients with known ASD
  • Participate in in-services and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
  • Licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Psychologist or license eligible
  • Minimum of one year experience providing standardized diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Minimum of one year experience providing individual and family psychotherapy for children and adolescents
Working Conditions

This position requires working in the outpatient clinic and hospital, which may involve occasional exposure to wet, humid, or dry conditions, as well as noise, odors, hazards, and blood-borne pathogens.
