We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Hospital for Special Care. The successful candidate will provide diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct standardized diagnostic evaluations for ASD, including intellectual assessments, behavioral observations, and parent and teacher rating scales.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate with treatment teams, families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Provide in-services and training on ASD to hospital staff and community partners.
- Participate in clinical supervision, program development, and research initiatives.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
- Licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Psychologist or license eligible.
- Minimum of one year experience providing standardized diagnostic evaluations for ASD.
- Minimum of one year experience providing individual and family psychotherapy for children and adolescents.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adolescents with ASD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with families, treatment teams, and community partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to complete documentation and billing in a timely manner.
This position requires working in an outpatient clinic and hospital setting, with occasional exposure to wet, humid, or dry conditions, as well as noise, odors, hazards, and blood-borne pathogens.
Essential Functions- Provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans for individuals with ASD.
- Collaborate with treatment teams and families to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in clinical supervision, program development, and research initiatives.
This position requires standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of equipment and supplies.
