RN Medical Surgical Urology Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our G90 Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to post-operative urology and overflow surgical patients, focusing on pain control, return of bowel and bladder function, DVT prevention, and ambulation.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, administering medications and treatments as needed.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on urology and medical-surgical nursing.
