About the Role

Cleveland Clinic's G90 Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a RN Surgical Urology Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to post-operative urology and overflow surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or other healthcare settings.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions to healthcare teams.
  • Provide education to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Two years of recent nursing experience, with a focus on urology or surgical nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move patients, and work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
