Cage Operations Specialist

Responsible for assisting patrons and colleagues with financial transactions while ensuring the accurate balancing of various cash drawers within the Casino Cage Department, maintaining precision throughout all stages of the balancing process.

- Delivers smooth, courteous, and efficient service to guests in the execution of assigned duties, including greeting guests, assisting them at the cage area, addressing guest complaints, and promoting club membership.
- Supports Casino promotions, transportation services, and special events as required.
- Issues complimentary play to club members within authorized limits.
- Accurately balances assigned cash drawers.
- Cashes chips and gaming tokens into currency for customers in a timely and courteous manner.
- Cashes approved checks and processes cash advances.
- Exchanges foreign currency, calculating accurate exchange rates for various currencies received.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of facilities and special events on property to advise customers accordingly.
- Assists other Guest Service Hosts within the Cage/Club as necessary.
- Facilitates communication by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Keeps a clean working environment and ensures work areas are consistently stocked.
- Resolves minor customer disputes related to the department.
- Registers new guests into the Players Club membership at the assigned work area and prints club cards upon request.
- Assists customers with locked accounts.
- Handles cash banks for other authorized departments, ensuring all banks and paperwork are secured.
- Processes payouts for jackpots, giveaways, and handpays, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accounted for.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A High School diploma or GED is required. Some college coursework in Banking and Finance or a related field is preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Effective communication skills are essential. Must be highly numbers-oriented and proficient with computers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
