Job Responsibilities:

As an instructor, you will lead both clinical and theoretical sessions for the Medical Assisting Diploma Program. Your role will involve guiding students through essential entry-level procedures relevant to patient care in a medical office setting. You will be expected to have expertise in infection control protocols, medication administration, patient examinations, and vital sign assessment. Additionally, you will engage in instructional development within the Allied Health Division. This is a full-time position with the possibility of summer breaks. Teaching Medical Terminology will be a required component of your responsibilities.

Key Functions:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction, manage assigned courses, provide students with necessary course documentation, and demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Offer academic advising, assist with recruitment efforts, and develop strategies for student retention and graduate placement.
  • Maintain an organized classroom/lab environment, hold regular office hours, and submit required reports punctually.
  • Design and revise curricula, develop new courses, and participate in advisory committees.
  • Engage in college committees, perform public service for the institution, and foster relationships with employers of graduates.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant teaching discipline, or an Associate’s degree with demonstrated competencies in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum requirements, three to five years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Certifications such as CMA, RMA, or RN, along with current CPA certification, are advantageous. Teaching experience is also preferred.
