Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor to join our team at Florence-Darlington Technical College, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching CPT/IST classes in-person and/or online, as well as performing adjunct instructor duties related to reporting and recording student attendance and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach CPT/IST classes in-person and/or online
  • Perform adjunct instructor duties related to reporting and recording student attendance and performance
  • Conduct all teaching and reporting activities with high regard to effective communication and timely completion of assignments
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or a Master's degree in a related area with 18 graduate semester hours in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows operating system and current MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) for CPT 170 courses
  • Knowledge of MS Windows OS installation and Maintenance, Linux, etc., for CPT 285/CPT257
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching IT, networking, or computer service related coursework
  • CompTIA A+ or willingness to obtain for CPT 285/CPT 257 classes
  • Previous teaching experience in information technology, especially in an LMS (Learning Management System) such as D2L (Desire2Learn)
