Your Impact on Patient Care at Rehab America:

The Staff Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients within their assigned caseload. A solid understanding of Occupational Therapy principles and treatment methodologies is essential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional capabilities in areas such as strength, endurance, and daily living activities; assessments are performed upon admission with further recommendations as needed
  • Developing, implementing, and adjusting personalized treatment plans based on the comprehensive assessment and patient progress
  • Participating in scheduled patient care and family conferences as directed by the Program Supervisor
  • Overseeing Occupational Therapy Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers in both direct and indirect patient care
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of therapy programs

Qualifications and Licensure:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in occupational therapy within a hospital or home health environment
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association or an equivalent program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Occupational Therapist in the state of Tennessee
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance as per company policy
  • Willingness to travel between various locations.
