Key Responsibilities:
Physical Therapist Role:
Deliver physical therapy and associated services to patients while ensuring positive interactions with healthcare facilities and clients, adhering to the standards and practices of physical therapy as established by Reliant Rehabilitation.
Provide high-quality patient care, which includes:
- Screening and evaluating patients
- Developing initial and ongoing treatment plans
- Managing discharge planning
- Supervising assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Overseeing case management duties.
Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation's dedication to quality service in all client interactions, fostering positive relationships with facilities and clients.
Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations governing physical therapy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enhance patient functionality and skills through effective physical therapy practices.
- Offer consultation and clinical oversight to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
- Supervise PTAs and rehabilitation technicians during both group and individual treatment sessions, promoting efficient resource utilization and the ongoing development of clinical skills in line with state regulations and company policies.
- Build and strengthen the physical therapy program.- Advance clinical expertise and management skills through collaboration with peers, self-directed learning, and participation in continuing education.
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about relevant issues in the physical therapy profession and healthcare environment.- Understand various payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, ensuring clinically appropriate delivery methods.
- Deliver quality care with realistic goals and outcomes, adhering to established guidelines.- Comply with infection control protocols and environmental safety standards within the facility.
- Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English for effective communication regarding instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Graduate of an APTA accredited physical therapy program.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in clinical documentation and basic internet navigation.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid state license as a physical therapist.
