Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Specialist to join our team in South Jersey. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the onboarding process for physicians and high-level allied health professionals across our health system.
The Credentialing Team is responsible for processing credentialing files for providers in all departments of the hospital. This involves managing a high volume of files, typically between 20-25, and conducting research on licensure, past experience, and trainings related to the onboarding of new clinicians.
As a member of our team, you can expect to work in a fully remote setting, but must be local enough to the South Jersey area to come onsite if needed. All equipment is provided for specialists.
We operate on the Symplr provider credentialing system, the National Practitioner Data Bank, and other software. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) certification is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a credentialing specialist or coordinator specifically with provider credentialing is required. Completed Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree is also required. Experience onboarding physicians and higher-level allied health employees, privileging employees, appointments, reappointments, tracking expirables, sanction checks, reviewing red flags, etc. is essential. Experience managing 20-25 files at a given time is also necessary.
