Overview:
The Customer Support Business Group at Lam Research is dedicated to providing exceptional support to our clients throughout their journey with our products.

Role Impact:
As a Field Process Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal resource for our customers, ensuring their needs are met through expert knowledge of our equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough evaluations, documenting process outputs, and supporting hardware modifications and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver process support and installation services, enhancing productivity and resolving system issues at customer locations.
- Act as a primary field support representative for new installations and evaluations.
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports to optimize process modules.
- Collaborate with customers to address their technology requirements and process deviations through effective root cause analysis.
- Develop and refine processes, establish best practices, and work closely with hardware engineering to ensure performance standards are met.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to align on customer needs, technology roadmaps, and business challenges.
- Represent Lam Research in customer interactions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and understanding of our offerings.
- Present technical information and marketing materials to keep customers informed about relevant products and services.
- Provide guidance and training to Field Service Engineers and Technicians on installations and operations, while coordinating new procedure applications.
- Work alongside Field Service Engineers to troubleshoot complex issues affecting process outputs.
- Analyze failure rates and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Recommend design modifications and monitor performance trends to enhance technical solutions.

Qualifications:
- PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 8+ years; or a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in addressing complex engineering challenges with sound judgment and analytical skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer relationship management.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and available for on-call duties as necessary.

Preferred Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
