Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Elixir Developer to contribute to our Global B2C Technology team, which is dedicated to enhancing backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with backend and client developers, project managers, and technical product managers to create a top-tier product.
  • Assess various technical strategies and work alongside peers to achieve a unified technical direction.
  • Ensure comprehensive testing and assist in implementing observability solutions for resilient and scalable services.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with modern engineering technologies including Fastly, AWS, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and Github Actions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Elixir.
  • Proficient in Elixir, Typescript, and GraphQL, with the capability to write SQL queries.
  • A strong passion for software engineering and a deep sense of ownership over the code produced by you and your team.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental software data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and information.
  • Experience in critically evaluating code as a learning tool and knowing when and how to safely refactor code and artifacts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, demonstrating support for practices that facilitate continuous deployment and incremental delivery of business value.
