Key Responsibilities:
  • Execution of engineering and design works within budget and schedule
  • Working as a client representative within a multi-disciplinary team for supervision of construction works
  • Lead and manage technical design processes on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Plan, monitor, and supervise work of other engineers
  • Prepare technical reports, tender documents, bill of quantities, evaluate technical bids, and review vendor/third-party documents
  • Participate in client and contractor-facing technical and progress meetings
  • Coordinate with the client and contractor, with a particular focus on liaising with relevant authorities and overseeing wayleave applications
  • Co-ordination with other disciplines to resolve engineering issues during design development, review, and check processes
Requirements:
  • P.E. certification
  • 10 or more years of progressive professional experience in civil engineering
  • Management of multidisciplinary design projects, including foundation underpinning, dewatering, civil drainage, and grading, stormwater facilities, geotechnical investigation, soil and groundwater remediation systems, and renewable energy projects
  • Sound understanding of engineering principles, technical skills for analysis, and an understanding of civil site grading and drainage, civil transportation roadway layout, grading, and drainage conforming to state and federal department of transportation standards
  • Expertise in Microstation, InRoads, and CAICE
  • Experience in forensic evaluation, remedial design, alternatives analyses, conceptual design, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater hydrology, and green infrastructure impacts, tree preservation, and landscape plans conforming to state and local jurisdictions and engineering cost estimates
  • Expertise with HEC-RAS, HydroFlow, StormCadd, and AutoCad 3D
  • Demonstrated project management skills associated with engineering projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing junior engineers and associated support staff as direct reports and/or in a project team setting
  • Demonstrated business development skills, including a robust industry network, an existing client base, preselling, prospecting, proposal development, and cost estimating
