Located in a prime area, our hotel stands as a testament to architectural brilliance and luxurious hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Assistant, you will support the Chef de Partie in the daily culinary operations while ensuring a pristine and sanitary workspace. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing ingredients ahead of the cooking process: reviewing recipes, measuring ingredients, washing, chopping, and organizing components for efficient cooking.
- Adhering to the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food safety and handling.
- Conducting daily cleaning of refrigerators, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensuring the designated kitchen area remains clean and orderly.
- Utilizing leftover food items responsibly to reduce waste, under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Collecting supplies from storage in compliance with HACCP protocols and company policies.
- Assisting with the daily inventory of your assigned station and providing necessary information to the Chef de Partie.
- Performing additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper chemical usage.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operations.
- The ability to foster effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and guests.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or an accredited apprenticeship is preferred.
- Relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume culinary environment is advantageous.
