Key Responsibilities:


As a Culinary Assistant, you will support the Chef de Partie in the daily culinary operations while ensuring a pristine and sanitary workspace. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Preparing ingredients ahead of the cooking process: reviewing recipes, measuring ingredients, washing, chopping, and organizing components for efficient cooking.
  2. Adhering to the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food safety and handling.
  3. Conducting daily cleaning of refrigerators, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
  4. Ensuring the designated kitchen area remains clean and orderly.
  5. Utilizing leftover food items responsibly to reduce waste, under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  6. Collecting supplies from storage in compliance with HACCP protocols and company policies.
  7. Assisting with the daily inventory of your assigned station and providing necessary information to the Chef de Partie.
  8. Performing additional related tasks as required.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper chemical usage.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operations.
  • The ability to foster effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and guests.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or an accredited apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume culinary environment is advantageous.
