Job Title: Surface Warfare Analyst

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Surface Warfare Analyst to join our team. As a Surface Warfare Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and support to the U.S. Navy in the areas of Surface Ship Combat Systems and their operational employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert analysis and support to the U.S. Navy in the areas of Surface Ship Combat Systems and their operational employment.
  • Collaborate with senior government and military staff to develop and implement effective combat systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Navy personnel and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Surface Ship Combat Systems and their operational employment.
Requirements:
  • Former Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Limited Duty Officer (LDO) or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) with a minimum of 10 years US Navy Active duty experience.
  • Must have Combat Systems experience related to Aegis Combat and Weapons Systems or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), and Shipboard Navigation Systems.
  • Must have experience on Surface Combatant Ships to include a deployment in support of battle group operations.
  • Must possess an Officer of the Deck (OOD) qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in any of the following areas:
  • Complete a tour of duty on a CVN or Amphib Class Surface Ship.
  • Completion of ship deployment in support of battle group operations.
  • Test and Evaluation experience.
  • Tactics development and evaluation.
  • Tactical Action Officer (TAO) qualification.
  • Navy Instructor/Master Training Specialist (MTS).
  • Specialty fleet systems qualifications.
