Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering safe patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the defined scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family education and the activities of other nursing staff while upholding standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients. Effective communication with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, and abnormal symptoms, is essential. The Registered Nurse must respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
3. Completion of a Critical Care Course is preferred.
4. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
5. Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance of certification.
6. Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with critical care experience preferred.
7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification is preferred.
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Sherman Oaks Hospital provides competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that allows employees to tailor their benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which encompasses estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $39.24 to $67.30. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
