Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Educator, a Registered Nurse focused on clinical nursing education, to oversee the essential training, competency, and professional development of our Home Health clinicians and staff.
This role directly supports the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) and collaborates with the management team to enhance the capabilities of Neogen Care staff through comprehensive training programs, both in-office and in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the orientation process for new hires.
- Deliver extensive education and training to nursing personnel across various locations, whether in-office or on-site.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create educational initiatives based on needs assessments and adult learning principles.
- Implement evidence-based practices to uphold the highest standards of care and ensure patient safety.
- Develop and refine educational programs tailored to our staff's needs.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and coordination of educational activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the DPCS.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program, with a graduate degree in healthcare preferred.
- A minimum of one year of Clinical Educator experience within the last five years.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills relevant to patient populations.
- Familiarity with Quality Assessment reviews.
- Proven ability to supervise and guide professional staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with outstanding customer service abilities.
Additional Skills:
- Attention to detail and precision in service delivery.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., MS Word, Email) and electronic health record systems.
