Customer Service Specialist Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, answering product questions, and recommending solutions to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, consistently delivering results-driven performance
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, features, and benefits, making informed recommendations to customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to visual standards and product displays
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring timely and efficient receipt of merchandise
  • Assist in making deliveries, as needed, to meet customer needs
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, enhancing skills and knowledge to drive business results
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
