Job Summary

Hearst is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling and marketing classified advertising across our publications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Provide information to customers in response to inquiries about products and services, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Account Management: Maintain assigned account bases while developing new accounts, identifying new advertising markets, and proposing products to serve them.
  • Sales and Marketing: Provide customers with classified advertising recommendations, estimates of costs, receipts, and collect payment. Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts using a computer.
  • Administrative Tasks: Process all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts, including word processing, managing files and records, and designing forms.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Sales and customer service experience, with knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Skills: Excellent computer and web skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to access and prioritize tasks and projects, meet strict deadlines, and multi-task.
