Maintenance Inventory Clerk Job Description

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in the specialty frozen baked goods market. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Inventory Clerk to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient operation of our maintenance department, working closely with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to coordinate inventory efforts and maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including physical material movement and tracking, documentation management, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve inventory goals, including spare parts service level, inventory turns, and inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to identify and resolve inventory issues, reduce costs, and improve machine uptime and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the stock room area, ensuring compliance with industrial manufacturing standards.
  • Engage in all aspects of safety, including food safety, with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor the security of the stockroom and/or tool room, performing Cycle Counts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stock room, adhering to industry standards.
  • Responsible for all outgoing shipments from the maintenance department, including bill of lading, scheduling pick-ups, and proper packing.
  • Work to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of products and processes.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Direct knowledge from procurement to point of use in manufacturing.
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Industrial lift license (or ability to obtain).
  • Proficient use of Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, the Internet, and CMMS.
  • Hands-on knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) spare parts.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in food manufacturing and efficient and safe manufacturing operations.
  • Fluent in reading and writing English.
  • Working knowledge of hazardous chemicals and materials and proper storage and disposal.
