Maintenance Inventory Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Inventory Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and the accuracy of our inventory management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking and reporting on spare parts, inventory levels, and inventory turns.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve inventory management goals, including reducing costs and improving machine uptime and reliability.
  • Utilize our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to solve inventory issues, reduce costs, and provide management and employees with the information they need to do their jobs.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the stockroom area, ensuring compliance with industrial manufacturing standards.
  • Engage in all aspects of safety, including food safety, with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor the security of the stockroom and/or tool room, performing cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, consistent with industry standards.
  • Responsible for all outgoing shipments from the maintenance department, including bill of lading, scheduling pick-ups, and proper packing of shipments.
  • Work to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times, reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Supervise the dispensing of parts for job kitting, quality inspecting parts as received, and helping manage spare parts for Capex inventory.

Qualifications:

  • High School degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Direct knowledge from procurement to point of use in manufacturing.
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Must possess (or have the ability to get) an industrial lift license.
  • Proficient use of Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, the Internet, and CMMS.
  • A hands-on knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) spare parts.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in food manufacturing and how it relates to maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations.
  • Must be fluent in reading/writing of the English language.
  • Working knowledge of hazardous chemicals and materials and the proper storage and disposal of such items.

2nd (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm)
