We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Everett. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in providing dental care to active duty military members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of dental hygienist procedures, including oral prophylaxis, preventive dentistry, and non-surgical periodontal therapy.
- Review and complete preliminary dental examinations for new periodontal and recall patients.
- Oversee and manage periodontal patient recall programs.
- Examine teeth and surrounding tissues for evidence of caries, periodontal disease, and record findings.
- Expose, develop, and interpret radiographs to identify tooth structure, periodontal support, and other abnormalities.
- Refer suspected medical conditions, hard and soft tissue abnormalities, caries, periapical and periodontal pathosis, and traumatic or suspicious lesions to the dental officer for evaluation.
- Perform pit and fissure sealant applications, develop dental hygiene treatment plans, and instruct patients in proper oral hygiene.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with Joint Commission and Dental Treatment Facility standards.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Certification in radiography as required by 42 CFR Part 75.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- U.S. Citizen status for access to government computer systems.
- Competitive starting salary.
