Position Summary:

We are seeking a Business Assistant to join our team at All Smiles Northwest. As a Business Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the front office and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

About the Role:

As a Business Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, creating a positive first impression of our team
  • Managing front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
  • Utilizing Dentrix for patient scheduling and records
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments for multiple providers in the office
  • Filing patient insurance claims and following up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage
  • Posting insurance and patient payments and processing accounts receivables
  • Reviewing treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Partnering with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information


Preferred Experience:

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting
  • 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience


Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position. You will need to be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and be available to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
