Job Summary
Bags, a leading provider of airport services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wheelchair Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the wheelchair operation at our airport facility, ensuring that all passengers requiring assistance are provided with exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the wheelchair operation to ensure that all passengers are assisted in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist passengers with moving luggage to their vehicles, taxi stands, parking shuttle stations, and rental car stations.
- Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates, ensuring their safety and security.
- Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports.
- Follow dispatcher gate orders and maintain a friendly and positive attitude towards passengers.
- Exceed customer service standards and maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- Airline experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300lbs up and down inclines throughout the shift.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Complete all required training including airport compliance.
- Able to obtain an airport badge.
Appearance Guidelines
Employees are expected to present a professional business-like image at all times. This includes wearing clean and well-maintained approved uniforms on shift.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers and to communicate with customers and fellow employees. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stand; walk. The employee is also frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. In addition, the employee is required to twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
