Job Overview

Position Summary: The IT Project Manager III will be responsible for directing and managing projects associated with designated accounts. This role requires advanced project management capabilities along with analytical skills to ensure effective project execution. The individual will facilitate communication among all parties involved and develop comprehensive project documentation to support successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing various communication platforms to meet or exceed departmental standards.
  • Define and communicate project requirements to stakeholders, establishing clear milestones, timelines, funding parameters, and reporting procedures to guarantee project success.
  • Identify technical specifications, assist in the development of technical documentation, and clarify requirements to guide the project coordination team.
  • Formulate internal resource plans detailing the necessary resources for project completion and share this information with the team for effective resource allocation.
  • Develop a thorough coordinator guide outlining responsibilities and project requirements for the coordination team, monitoring adherence throughout the project.
  • Evaluate client needs based on provided specifications and create project scopes, timelines, budgets, and essential documentation, including risk assessments and communication plans.
  • Inform the internal project and management teams of any changes that impact the resource plan.
  • Document and report project challenges, concerns, potential risks, and budget discrepancies to the internal project and management teams.
  • Lead and facilitate both internal and external project meetings, ensuring agendas and minutes are maintained.
  • Prepare status reports for billing and auditing purposes.
  • Design and deliver client-facing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Conduct project closeout meetings, including discussions on lessons learned with clients and team members.
  • Provide regular performance evaluations of the project coordination team, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement while setting goals for professional development.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for coordination staff members.
  • Offer ongoing training and mentorship to the project coordination team through various resources.

Qualifications:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including typing proficiency.

Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and practices.

6-10 years of experience in project management.

Proficient in internet search engines, basic data entry, and data management, with strong familiarity with Microsoft 365. Willingness to learn new software as it becomes available.

Knowledge of IT services, including network infrastructure, structured cabling, and end-user devices.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Associate degree in Management, Business Administration, Communications, or Computer Science; Bachelor's degree preferred.

PMP certification or completion of project management courses is advantageous.

Technical certifications such as A+ and ITIL are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Network Infrastructure: 5 years (Preferred)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)

Licenses:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation (Preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ (Preferred)
  • PMP (Preferred)
