Support the Success of ASTS Educational Offerings

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented individual to play a crucial role in supporting the administration and success of ASTS' educational offerings. This position will coordinate and assist with a range of logistical, content, and speaker needs for conferences and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with CME compliance documentation and reporting, and CME processes for educational events
  • Support ongoing educational activities for Board certification for members
  • Organize and enter content into mobile meeting app for 4-6 events per year
  • Support meeting logistics for in-person meetings and online trainings
  • Handle registrations for 4-6 meetings per year including tracking, name badges and working with communications on marketing calendar
  • Support Council by organizing and tracking attendance for meetings
  • Coordinate speakers for in-person and virtual events including tracking, outreach, and ongoing communication regarding speaker responsibilities
  • Serve as the secondary staff liaison in supporting the ATC Planning, Business Practices, Professional Development, Surgical Skills, Surgeon Scientist, and Vanguard Committees
  • General administrative duties and other duties as assigned
  • Some travel required (3-4 times per year).

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of association experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter, deadline-conscious, intellectually curious and willing to learn
  • Educational program/CME experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Polished verbal and written communications skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with physicians and other health care professionals
  • Strong organizational skills, able to work independently and prioritize amongst multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Technologically savvy
