Position Overview:


The Culinary Specialist is tasked with the preparation of all menu items in accordance with established recipes, plating specifications, and guest preferences. This role ensures that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and adhere to designated preparation timelines.

It is essential for this position to demonstrate a commitment to exceptional and personalized guest service that aligns with the brand's standards.


Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret and execute cooking methods and plating techniques based on established recipes and specifications.

• Work efficiently and accurately while ensuring timely food preparation within set guidelines.

• Maintain a professional appearance and arrive at work with all necessary tools.

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items and plating standards to guarantee product quality and presentation.

• Ensure proper rotation and portioning of ingredients to maintain product quality.

• Keep your workstation and kitchen organized, sanitized, and stocked according to prescribed levels.

• Exhibit attention to detail in all tasks.

• Apply correct food handling practices during food preparation.

• Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen equipment and proper knife skills.

• Maintain a safe work environment and utilize safety equipment as required.


• Foster teamwork by assisting colleagues and management to deliver outstanding service to guests.

Always maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor, demonstrating positivity and professionalism.

• Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and health regulations.

• Follow instructions efficiently and with a positive attitude.

• Communicate supply needs, equipment issues, and other areas requiring attention to management.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform the outlined duties and responsibilities. The following qualifications are essential:

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.

• A valid health card is mandatory.


• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication and task execution in a fast-paced environment, with respect for all individuals.

• At least one year of cooking experience, preferably in a hotel or casino setting.

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and knife skills is required.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of one year of high-volume cooking experience is required, ideally in a hotel or casino environment.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Basic mathematical skills are necessary, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as relevant to job responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read and comprehend all policies and procedures.


• Must communicate effectively with guests, employees, and management in English, particularly regarding job duties and responsibilities.

• Capability to complete standard forms and reports.
