Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and project support to our HR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining employee records, processing payroll and timekeeping transactions, and performing other related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operations of the HR team, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
  • Utilize systems and processes to create and maintain digital employee records and files, ensuring timely and accurate entry of employee transactions in payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Process unemployment claims and respond to Verification of Employment requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, including background checks, I9 completion, E-Verify, and orientation.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and similar documents as required.
  • Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
  • Maintain company organization charts and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a collaborative or supporting role that required strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment, and working with large amounts of data/data entry.
  • High school diploma/general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
  • Basic understanding of employment laws preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and experience with Kronos or comparable timekeeping systems and Paycom or comparable HRIS/Payroll systems preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Evenings and weekends may be required at certain times to meet deadlines. This position is generally indoors in a climate-controlled office.
