Key Responsibilities
  • Authorization and Registration
    • Obtain precertification and validate prior authorization statuses for commercial, government, and other payors.
    • Collect and record demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate authorization and financial clearance.
  • Data Analysis and Quality Assurance
    • Analyze and interpret data to maintain high levels of authorization accuracy and quality assurance.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to patient access and revenue cycle management.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Interact and collaborate with physician practices, hospital departments, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure hospital reimbursement.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, payers, and other parties to provide clear and concise information.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge
    • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to HIPAA confidentiality and security regulations, as well as other relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • One year of experience in Patient Access/Revenue Cycle/Medical Billing/Financial Counseling or Customer Service.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite offerings (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
    • Team-oriented, open-minded, flexible, and willing to learn.
    • Ability to maintain Quality Assurance, Productivity, and other Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations/standards.
