Our Legacy

Amorem has a legacy of innovation and compassion, having opened the first free-standing inpatient patient care unit (PCU) in North Carolina in 1989. We continue to push the boundaries of hospice care, with our latest initiative being the opening of the first-of-its-kind PCU in the High Country.

Requirements
  • Current, Unrestricted Nursing License: Possess a current, unrestricted nursing license.
  • Completed Degree as RN: Have completed a degree as a Registered Nurse (ADN, BSN, MSN).
  • Willingness to Take on New Challenges: Be willing to take on new challenges and desire for professional growth.
  • Hospice and Palliative Medicine Experience: Preferably have experience in hospice and palliative medicine.
  • Up-to-Date CPR Certification: Possess up-to-date CPR certification.
Job Responsibilities
  • Leverage Technology: Leverage technology to improve quality of care.
  • Provide Education: Provide education to patients and families.
  • Maximize Hospice Medical Skills: Maximize hospice medical skills.
  • Approach Patients and Families Holistically: Approach patients and families holistically.
  • Respond to Referrals: Respond to all referrals with a sense of urgency.
  • Evaluate Patients and Collaborate: Evaluate patients and collaborate as a part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team to admit to appropriate programs while developing individualized plans of care.
