We are looking for a full-time, 1st shift Shipping and Receiving personnel who will become an integral part of our operations. We emphasize the professional growth of our team members by offering pathways to advance from Shipping and Receiving I to Shipping and Receiving III. This role is ideal for someone eager to join a progressive organization.
Position Responsibilities:
The Shipping and Receiving I is responsible for ensuring that all shipping orders are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper documentation within the designated system. The role operates under general supervision.
Key Duties Include:
- Verifying the quantity of received parts against orders, completing setup sheets, determining appropriate packaging materials, preparing master packs, creating part labels, and performing part preservation as necessary.
- Setting up jobs for packaging in accordance with internal traveler and customer specifications.
- Generating shippers and barcode labels for each job as required on a daily basis.
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of all files at all times.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of shipping and packaging concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with packaging codes and the shipping process.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Basic computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office products.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 to 6 months of experience in a Shipping and Packaging department is preferred.
Work Environment:
The characteristics of the work environment are typical of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
- Work is conducted in a standard warehouse setting.
Shift Schedule:
- 1st shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
