Job Title: Assistant Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Supervisor to join our team at Allied Universal Janitorial Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and delegating the workload of janitorial staff, ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delegate workload of janitorial staff members to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure work is completed in accordance with our customer contract
  • Answer calls from security or mall management for emergency cleaning and respond promptly to resolve issues
  • Ensure janitor closets are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Oversee table, chair, stage, and retail merchandising unit set-ups as required
  • Inform maintenance department and supervisor of any maintenance deficiencies
  • Conduct safety training and coach and mentor janitorial team members to ensure a safe working environment
  • Perform payroll duties as needed and make productivity recommendations to leadership staff
  • Participate in selection and placement of janitorial team members and provide feedback and guidance for improvement
  • On occasion, may be required to perform janitorial duties to supplement staff
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial work experience, preferably in a leadership role
  • Ability to troubleshoot and manage stressful situations
  • Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy, coaching, and mentoring
  • Write informatively, clearly, and accurately
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-initiate work and be proactive
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Active listening and ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior supervisory experience in the janitorial or housekeeping industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
