Global Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Specialist

The Global Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Specialist is a key position within Citigroup Inc. that plays a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
This role is responsible for participating in AML monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting activities in coordination with the Compliance and Control team.
Key objectives of this role include assisting in the development and management of a dedicated internal Know Your Client (KYC) program, ensuring adequate due diligence processes are carried out for customer accounts, and verifying and confirming banker ownership of KYC Records.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of this role include:
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Partner with internal units to ensure adequate due diligence processes are carried out for customer accounts and documentation reviews.
- KYC Record Verification: Verify and confirm banker ownership of KYC Records to ensure a continuous flow of information.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all information and documentation comply with local regulations and Citi standards.
- Documentation Management: Update and review forms according to local regulation requirements and work with Compliance to expedite documentation reviews, providing clarification as needed.
- Client Communication: Follow up with clients to ensure information is received by the due date.
- KYC Task Management: Perform KYC tasks, including monitoring and tracking of KYC records and Appendix readiness, assisting with the development and execution of action planning for expiring records, and ensuring records are not past due.
- Record Approval: Maintain and monitor the process of approving KYC Records and Appendix with all associated parties to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Meetings and Calls: Participate and assist with the organization of weekly meetings and calls to discuss Sustainability and Remediation population.
- Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
- Relevant Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in AML compliance or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or University degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $74,400 - $104,200 per year, based on the location and industry standards. Citigroup Inc. offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life, accident, and disability insurance, and wellness programs.
