Job Description:

As a SME Grants Specialist at Ecompex, you will provide supportive services for the Department of Justice. This position may be authorized for remote work.

The Ecompex career position supports the following:
  • Develop and support short- and long-term plans for researching federal grant oversight activities and strategic data analysis approaches.
  • Provide Enterprise Risk Management support for a variety of mission related tasks.
  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance to program and project staff; provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements for mission critical challenges in federal grant management and administration efforts.
  • Develop and implement best practices in data collection methodologies and analyses relating to federal grant administration, oversight, and audits.
  • Define requirements and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Provide high level vision to project manager and team members to influence objectives of complex efforts.
  • Participate in and contribute to the risk management process, including, but not limited to risk assessments related to grants management lifecycle activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Able to pass a Tier (T1) background investigation.
  • Must have 8 years of professional experience planning, conducting, and participating in the facets of performance requirements as described above.
  • Must have a Master's degree in public policy or a related discipline.
    • Bachelor's degree may be substituted in combination of 10 years of relevant experience described above.
  • Grants Management certification highly desired.
  • Must have extensive, enterprise-wide knowledge and experience in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration covering the full grant lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated expertise in training, supervising, and monitoring key staff members in the day-to-day administration of federal grants while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with grant policy and procedure development, process flow, document management, and reporting.
Primary work location: Remote / On-site

Travel Expectations: Travel is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
