Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Hire, train, evaluate, and retain nursing staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ED, including workflow, patient throughput, and resource management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, administration, and other departments to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Clinical Experience: Significant experience working in an emergency department as a registered nurse, typically 5-7 years of experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Management Experience: Prior experience in a leadership role, such as charge nurse, clinical coordinator, or nurse supervisor in an ED or similar acute care setting.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, including triage, critical care, and trauma care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

- Budgeting and Resource Management: Experience with budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and standards specific to emergency care.
- Resilience: Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain composure during emergencies.
- Empathy: Compassionate approach to patient care and staff management.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the rapidly changing environment of an emergency department.
