Job Overview

HumCap, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and oversee all human resources activities within the organization. The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department, which includes recruitment, benefits management, payroll processing, employee relations, and the enforcement of company policies and procedures. This position is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Identify and evaluate potential candidates
  • Coordinate interview schedules, issue offer letters, and perform background checks
  • Act as a consultant to hiring managers
  • Maintain an organized candidate database
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires

Benefits Management and Payroll

  • Update and distribute benefits notices and disclosures, as well as manage benefit plans
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis, prepare payroll reports, and assist with special payroll projects

Employee Relations

  • Manage leave of absence requests
  • Ensure that policy development aligns with the overall vision of the company
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and conduct exit interviews
  • Develop and implement employee professional development and HR training programs
  • Collaborate with management on employee recognition and reward initiatives

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
  • A minimum of 3 years in a management role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred
  • HR Certification is a plus (SHRM-SCP/SPHR)
  • Familiarity with current HR trends and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
