Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of third-party vendors to identify and assess potential risks.
  • Review vendor agreements, service level contracts, and other legal documentation to ensure adherence to our risk management policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to collect data and assess overall risk exposure associated with third-party engagements.
  • Engage in discussions with vendors to identify effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to business units regarding the selection and management of third-party vendors.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of risk assessments, due diligence evaluations, and compliance activities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging risks in third-party risk management.

Decision-Making Responsibilities:

  • Deliver vendor risk assessment findings to IT and business leaders to guide future vendor relationships.
  • Identify and escalate critical risks and issues to senior management.
  • Facilitate discussions with vendors and business leaders to formulate strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Determine the necessary level of ongoing monitoring for each vendor relationship.

Communication:

  • Report to the Manager of Third-Party Risk Management, providing updates on daily operations and activities.
  • Engage in regular meetings to ensure alignment of goals and coordination of efforts.
  • Collaborate with business owners to review risk exposure and communicate vendor risks.
  • Work closely with Legal and Privacy teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Partner with IT Vendor Management to align cybersecurity practices with vendor management policies.
  • Engage with cybersecurity product teams to support the identification and remediation of gaps from third-party assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in cyber risk management, vendor management, audit, compliance, or information security.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in third-party risk management.
  • Experience in conducting vendor risk assessments and identifying control gaps.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and their cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and evaluating vendor contracts.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices.
