The Line Service Supervisor is accountable for overseeing and guiding the activities of Line Service Technicians who deliver essential services to general aviation aircraft, crew, and passengers. This role may also involve performing similar tasks as those assigned to the team.

  • Assign and delegate responsibilities to qualified staff, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Welcome, park, tow, and marshal aircraft arriving or departing from the ramp area.
  • Provide lavatory and water services as needed.
  • Fuel and de-ice aircraft upon request.
  • Facilitate shuttle services for passengers and crew as required.
  • Assist with customer service tasks as necessary.
  • Deliver oil and oxygen services for aircraft as requested.
  • Help passengers and/or crew with luggage and cargo as needed.
  • Support general cleaning and removal of debris from ramp, building, and customer areas.
  • Assist with wing-walking duties as required.
  • Support the Supervisor in training new staff members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly stand and walk, using hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally.
  • Read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Operate vehicles in areas congested with aircraft and other vehicles, requiring the ability to identify colors, judge distances, and understand spatial relationships.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, clients, management, and fellow employees.
  • Apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds overhead.
  • Utilize basic math concepts for operations involving American currency and measurements.
  • Resolve practical problems and handle various concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Wear the prescribed uniform and insignia as mandated by the company.
  • Report to work consistently and punctually.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • A valid state driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required based on local regulations and business needs.
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, and obtain and maintain an airport security badge, as well as be insurable under the company's insurance policies.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Ability to successfully complete Signature's training programs in a timely manner.
  • Pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel.
  • Proficient in using a computer and email, including completing computer-based training modules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, especially for safety-sensitive tasks.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, angles, degrees, and time).
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and in various weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in general aviation is preferred.
