Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of New York. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians
  • Perform tube feedings, hang IVs, and collect blood samples as certified
  • Provide colostomy care and observe patients for changes in condition
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
  • Obtain specimens for analysis and perform other medical procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare and apply simple dressings, bathe and feed patients, and care for patients' quarters
Requirements
  • Must have a license and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
  • OR have a limited permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
  • OR have an application on file for a limited permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
