WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Fully licensed to conduct radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Ability to provide a certified or photocopied version of the current license.
  • Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards.
  • Documentation of graduation from an accredited radiology technology program is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute routine radiologic procedures as directed by medical personnel for the patient population.
  • Electronically transmit and retrieve X-ray images and reports, ensuring proper documentation in the electronic medical record system.
  • Receive training for retrieving radiographic consults and scheduling necessary procedures.
  • Engage with a diverse patient population from various backgrounds.
  • Assess radiographic equipment for necessary calibrations and repairs.
  • Understand and respond to basic emergency situations that may arise during specialized radiographic procedures.
  • Organize examinations and maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various pathological conditions as evidenced by radiographic imaging.
  • Independently determine technical exposure factors and positions required for high-quality diagnostic exams.
  • Provide patient care by explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.
  • Perform all types of radiographic procedures, including but not limited to chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable X-rays.
  • Alert the Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities observed during examinations.
  • Facilitate the transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to complete monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the radiologist and medical staff.
  • Participate in training and orientation related to correctional medical services.
  • Develop familiarity with local medical protocols.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective clothing as mandated.
  • Perform additional duties as required of a Radiology Technician.
  • Manage the computerization and printing of daily logs and exam requisitions.
  • Prepare and transport X-rays for interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Assist with the maintenance of equipment and supplies, notifying staff when replenishment is needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and perform daily maintenance on X-ray equipment.
  • Support FDA inspections and preparation for program reviews as necessary.
  • Ensure all X-ray requests are accurately completed.
  • Manage the computerization of patient logs and repeat analysis.
