Chair, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

St. John Fisher University seeks a highly qualified Chair to lead the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and oversight for the department's academic programs, research initiatives, and faculty development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management for the department's strategic initiatives and operations;
- Recruit, hire, and retain faculty members according to the needs of the program;
- Develop the department's annual budget request and salary adjustments for faculty and staff;
- Develop teaching, research, and service partnerships with external collaborators;
- Conduct annual reviews for department faculty and staff;
- Represent the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences on the Executive Committee;
- Engage in teaching and scholarship in areas of expertise and interest.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in a pharmaceutical science discipline. A minimum of six years of academic experience and a record of academic teaching, scholarship, and service that qualifies for the rank of Associate Professor or higher are required. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Work Environment
